Henry Herbert Crabtree was born in Yorkshire, England in 1860 and arrived in Mexico as the engineer in charge of constructing the Port of Veracruz. In Mexico, Henry also found his heart in Carlota, his beloved wife. Carlota Camacho Hall was a strong, charitable woman who demonstrated her talent as one of the most recognized Mexican painters of her time. She loved her country intensely and portrayed it in her oil paintings, which are preserved with respect and affection in the museums of the Laguna region in northern Mexico.

Each bag is a limited edition, handmade by artisans from Jalisco and decorated with motifs from traditional Mexican imagery. Through this piece of fine craftsmanship, the Crabtree family thanks and pays homage to Grandma Carlota for instilling in her descendants her teachings to love and glorify the homeland with their hearts through art and beauty.
